Working on It

Sharing today that there are upgraded looks from some of the web cams.

A wider and more clear look at the revetment running north is now available. It took some trips up and down the ladder to get it but this is an improvement with winter storms coming. Another element of this effort was to improve the cameras that would be available in a storm. I can’t run all of them off the generator but four of the improved shots will be live during a bad one.

From there I moved to the camera outside the bedroom window. This too has a higher quality image and is a bit wider. I had set the former camera to pan from point to point but did not do that with this one.

The next move was to improve the image that looks out over the beach. This remains a work in progress as this camera is showing a focusing problem. I hope to have that fixed by the middle of the week.

There are also improved cameras in the Tower. When the groups were coming through last week I was able to see them with more clarity and even took a few pictures of groups with each view.

With the reshuffle of the cameras, a better quality shot was available on the Sunset camera as well. This is a wider shot with an improved resolution.

There should be a chance to improve one more of these cameras before the ladder is tucked away for the winter. I think I will try to upgrade the look at the harbor from the Tower window as that is one of the older cameras and a newer one should be freed up when I improve the shot of the beach.
