As I write there are gusts over 50mph outside and snow is blowing around. It does not seem to be new snow however so that is a win for the moment. It is a gray and blustery day.

Last weekend we saw real snow. I got it all moved on Sunday between the two big football games (Go Pats!) and everything I moved was back in the driveway Monday Morning.

Above was Sunday afternoon and Monday morning. Below was Monday afternoon. Some persistence was required. Monday was also the first day that I ever shoveled off the utility room roof.

For the first time in our nearly 17 years here there was some snow in some unusual places. The wind pushed snow into the Tower, the bathroom, and the attic above the main bedroom.

We had never seen that push up under the wall in the bathroom before. The snow in the attic we suspected but it was only recently when an electrician was able to access that space that I realized it could bear my weight. I got a shop vac up there and a couple of buckets and got the bulk of it out of there before the temperature turned and had it all melt into the bedroom ceiling. Snow in the Tower has happened before but I had hoped it was one of the issues that the renovation had addressed. Guess not.
The main concern today was that the road would be filled with rocks from a full moon tide and these relentless winds. Thus far that does not look like a problem though I might try heading out on Lighthouse Road early in the morning to avoid one spot that can get filled with debris.

This is looking north right now from the Tower. Lots of action in the sea; even with the tide on its way out. The second tide is not as big so perhaps we will skate through this stage of this winter cycle without too much to worry about. The great blessing so far is that neither weekend has seen the power go out.
Some might notice; others might not. There is a new link on the main menu. I am going to be adding to it regularly. We will take a tour through 1956 and learn about the Grounding of Etrusco on Cedar Point and a great deal more. Researching this has been a blast. Hope you check it out.
