We begin today with a review of a great day; the annual planting by the Cedar Point Association.



Thanks go out to all involved and to Mary Tennaro of the Scituate Beautification Committee who had the mulch delivered early this year and saved me a great deal of one on one time with a wheel barrow.



The Lantern Room that stood atop Scituate Light for more than 90 years was removed by truck this week. Scituate Community TV captured the last few steps.

The demotion of the top of the light began with the removal of all the windows and the break down of the top deck and railing. Seemingly tremendous progress was made in a very short time with the top deck.



I will be taking a look to see just how wet it is inside the Tower after an overnight of rain. I am guessing the shop vac will be working overtime to clean up some muddy rubble come Monday. Step by step this project unfolds.
