I decided in the past few days to make navigating the blog a bit easier.
I started with putting the posts as the homepage as you will have seen clicking in.
I revised some colors and fonts as well and added in a glimpse of what the web cams have been over time on that page.
I like that the posts that have been commented on are highlighted from the jump. I am guessing many don’t know that they can comment. I always enjoy hearing from visitors to the site.
You will also see the archive of all the posts on each of the pages once you navigate away from the front page.
There are new photographs of the restoration project on the Lantern Room gallery link. Julie and I took a ride to Essex and visited the shop where the frame is being worked on. I have asked for more photographs as the carpentry and copper work advances.
The word on the street is that a first pour of a new concrete foundation for the Lantern room could be poured on Tuesday. I had thought it was happening yesterday but that did not come off. The forms are in place and the rebar is set. You can see some of that in the photograph below.

I have concerns that weather will interrupt this work in the new term. There are waves and wind in the forecast for the front of the week and I spent a little bit of the morning cleaning up the yard in anticipation. I have a great deal of concern for the fencing that has created the job site. That kit will be coming down if the wind and the waves want it to. I have said for some time now that July was a lost opportunity to avoid questions and concerns like that. Now it is cross your fingers time that storms don’t stack up and get in the way of the proposed Halloween end date.
